WLA Series Wireless LAN Access Points
The WLM Series Wireless LAN Management suite unifies enterprise network infrastructure,
security, and services management, enabling network administrators to plan, configure,
deploy, monitor, and optimize wireless networks of any size and geography, from one console.
WLA Series access points come with built-in security and networking services, and advanced
performance and scalability features that allow them to inspect and forward traffic locally and
perform encryption and security enforcement at the access point. To ensure consistent user
experience in demanding environments, the WLA Series provides band steering, client load
balancing, dynamic authorization, quality of service, bandwidth controls and dynamic call
admission control.
These access points can be deployed in large enterprise environments or in small branch
locations away from a main campus in a controller-less plug and play model. Remote units
are managed through the WAN or the Internet by headquarters controllers. The access
points maintain local session persistence indefinitely if the WAN link goes down, and service
continues uninterrupted if the connection to the controller is lost -- connected clients maintain
connection to the access point, and new clients connect and authenticate locally as the Wireless
Intrusion Detection System (WIDS) continues
WLC Series Wireless LAN Controllers
WLC Series Wireless LAN Controllers enable seamless integration of reliable, scalable and
secure, wireless LANs with existing wired infrastructures. A broad range of controllers will serve
installations of any size delivering seamless mobility and nonstop wireless availability.
The Juniper Networks WLC Series Wireless LAN Controllers deliver and manage wireless
LANS with the highest level of reliability, performance, security, and management, in the
industry. They integrate the WLAN with the wired network to fulfill the requirements of even
the most demanding mobile applications and users.
WLC Series controllers ensure the level of WLAN availability in the industry with Virtual
Controller Cluster that provides many-to-many redundancy without the need for “hot-standby”
controllers. This enables nonstop wireless availability with hitless failover for all sessions, even
VoIP calls, in the event of a network failure.
WLC Series Wireless LAN Controllers can meet the wireless network needs of any size
organization, from small branch offices and retail outlets to large enterprise, hospital and
university campuses.
WLM Series Wireless LAN Management Appliances
The WLM Series Wireless LAN Management suite unifies enterprise network infrastructure,
security, and services management, enabling network administrators to plan, configure, deploy,
monitor, and optimize wireless networks of any size and geography, from one console.
WLM1200 Wireless LAN Management Appliance is a scalable, rack mountable management
platform for enterprise WLANs. There are three preconfigured versions that manage different
aspects of wireless LANs.:
Mobility Services Appliance (WLM1200-UMSP)
A scalable, open platform for infrastructure management, and unifies security and multiple
mobility services software components within a common framework that delivers improved
services and management visibility and control of network resources.
RingMaster Appliance (WLM1200-RMTS)
This appliance version of the RingMaster Software is a wireless LAN management tool that
helps with planning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and optimization, for networks of
250 to 5,000 indoor or outdoor access points.
Location appliance (WLM1200-LA)
A fast, reliable real-time location services platform for tracking devices on wireless LANs,
that enables enterprises to implement perimeter security, improve asset utilization, and
augment identity-based security policies.
